Upturn has a proven track record of working in communities with its key partners to deliver projects to time, budget and with meaningful and durable outputs.

Integral to this process is our policy of reviewing every project so that we can learn from the experience and can then devise and build even better solutions. It is out of this process that our amenities management division was borne.

Guinness Northern Housing Association, a forward thinking RSL with over 27000 properties in the North of England, wanted to ensure the delivery of its required neighbourhood services to the highest standards but also engage with the local community, help support people seeking employment and demonstrate value for money.

Initially working with Guinness’s Manchester office and focused upon Oldham the programme is now creating opportunities in the Northwest, Yorkshire and Humber, the Northeast, West Midlands and East Midlands; 50 apprenticeships have been created in the last twelve months.

The programme has also allowed us to forge new and exciting links with Village Housing, Housing 21, Procure Plus, City Response, Age UK, Mustard Tree and, of course, Guinness Northern Housing Association who continue to use and support us.
